Ahsan Khan To Star in ISHQ at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London

Ahsan Khan who has been lauded by audiences and critics alike for his stellar performance in popular TV series Udaari and Rasheeda Ali known for her performance in Anita and Me, will take on the roles of love interests Ranjha and Heer alongside Pakistani actor Adnan Jaffar who will play the role of a villain Kaido in upcoming multicultural Sufi musical ISHQ at Sadler's Wells this September.

This world premiere will feature in particular commissioned music and choreography from across Pakistan and the UK. Touching on a prevalent hot topic, it is a love story that shook a patriarchal society, putting the empowerment of women in limelight.

Additionally, ISHQ unfolds the tale of two lovers and their feuding families and holds the same place in Punjabi literature as Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This exciting musical spectacle will feature a combination of classical and modern dance with a unique blend of poetry and fusion music.

What is interesting to note here is that ISHQ is a collaboration between Pakistani and British artists which will celebrate unity, diversity and Pakistani culture within the UK.
