Project Peshawar: Peshawar's First International Film To Be Released In US, UK, Canada and Holland
Project Peshawar, the first-ever international film from the city will soon be hitting cinemas across Pakistan. Directed and produced by young artists from Peshawar will also be exhibited at numerous international festivals.

An attempt at reviving the local cinema, Project Peshawar though will not be released in any cinema in the city due to a lack of demand, but is believed to be bringing the city into light at national and international levels by displaying the talent of actors, directors and producers from Peshawar. Moreover, the red carpet will be hosted in Peshawar.

According to the director Irshu Bangash, the film "revolves around a London-based character who falls in love with a girl from Peshawar through the internet and travels there only to discover that it was a mere trap to kidnap him."

Filming took place in Peshawar, as well as in the UK and Canada. The movie will be released in English, Dutch, Urdu and Pashto.
