Trailer Launch of Actor in Law

The trailer launch for the movie Actor in Law was held at five star hotel, Pearl Continental, in Karachi on June 28, 2016. The entire cast and crew was present alongside print and electronic media. The posters for the film were also unveiled for the first time.

The film is directed by Na Maloom Afrad hit-makers Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza, which will be distributed by Urdu 1. For the first time in a Pakistani production, the movie has roped in veteran actor Om Puri in a prominent role together with Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat. Other popular actors in the film include international star Alyy Khan, Talat Hussain, Saboor Ali and Rehan Sheikh.

The film will show Fahad Mustafa as an aspiring actor, Mehwish Hayat as an effervescent journalist, Om Puri as a lawyer and Alyy Khan as a Television anchor. The trailer brings everything from effortlessly amusing to painfully intense scenes.

The trailer launch opened up with a brief introduction of members involved in the production, followed by a few words from Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali. The trailer was then disclosed followed by a huge applause from the audience.

Fahad Mustafa, Alyy Khan and Mehwish Hayat then shared their experiences on set, talked about their characters and discussed how it was like working with the legendary Om Puri.

The movie is slated to release on Eid-ul-Adha, set to compete with ARY’s Jannan.
