What To Expect From Udaari's Finale

By now we've all heard about  Udaari even if we haven't watched it. Written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Ehtishamuddin,  Udaari stars Bushra Ansari (Sheedan), Ahsan Khan (Imtiaz), Farhan Saeed (Arsh), Samiya Mumtaz (Sajida), and Urwa Hocane (Meera). The drama is jointly produced by Momina Duraid and Kashf Foundation.



Udaari is about bringing attention to real issues; a concept completely different from the typical Pakistani dramas on screen these days. Even in the remotest of areas, women struggle yet earn a living for themselves and education from an early age is shown to be important.



Two parallel stories and two different worlds, many social concerns such as pairing a debate on sexual abuse, bringing light to child molestation rape alongside commentary on parenting is a smart move. This show is not only as real as it gets, it is intellectual, educational and is able to highlight issues in society that need attention so they can be prevented. It shows that victims should voice their concerns and need not keep quiet and that their families should be their first line of defense.

25 episodes later and one episode left, so what's there to expect? Here's a quick summary:

Imtiaz, the cringe-worthy villain is punished and given a death sentence whereas the young, innocent Zebo is free to live her life underlying the fact that she is a survivor and not the victim; the main message of the show. The love story between Meera and Arsh progresses as she finally accepts his proposal.
