Hola Summer! Beat The Sweltering Heat With These Easy Seasonal Drink Fixes
Not really looking forward to the sweltering summer, that too spent indoors during quarantine? Blending yummy smoothies and slush are going to become our coping mechanism. Try these easy-to-make summer drinks to cool off the quarantine blues and beat the heat!

 Dreamy Strawberry Smoothie

 What you need:

  •         1/2 cup fresh watermelon (cubed and deseed) 

  •         ½ cup strawberries (frozen)

  •         1 ripe banana (peeled, chopped frozen)

  •         Unsweetened milk 

  •         1 tablespoon lime (optional)

  •         1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

  •         Ice cubes (optional)


 Instructions: Add all fruits and milk to a blender and blend till you get a smooth, creamy texture. You can add more proportions of fruits for a thicker smoothie or add milk if you want a thinner blend. Garnish with chia seeds. Can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. 
Tropical Pineapple Whip

 What you need: 

  • 1 cup pineapple (canned, frozen)

  • 1 cup lemonade 

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • Few tablespoons of condensed milk (optional)


 Instructions: 

Blend frozen pineapple, lemonade, and coconut milk in a blender. Pour into glasses and garnish each with pineapple wedges and dribble condensed milk. Can be refrigerated for 1 to 2 days. 

 The Ultimate Watermelon Slush 

 What you need:

  •         2 cups watermelon (frozen, cubed)

  •         1 cup water

  •         1 tablespoon of honey (any other sweetener to taste)

  •         Mint leaves as required

  •         Basil leaves (optional but recommended!) 


 Instructions: Blend the watermelon and the water until smooth. Add honey and mint and blend another 10-20 seconds until mostly smooth and the consistency of a slushy. Serve chilled.
