After Tons Of Backlash, KPK Government Withdraws Notification On Making Abaya Mandatory

After receiving tons of backlash, the KPK government has withdrawn their notification on making abaya compulsory for young schoolgirls.



Earlier, the district education office has made it compulsory for all girl students of government schools in Haripur to wear an abaya, gown or chadar causing mixed reactions from the locals. 'Instruct all students to use gown/abaya or chador to veil/conceal/cover up their-self in order to protect them from any unethical incident’, the circular said.
