EARLY 2000s TRENDS THAT ARE TAKING 2022 BY STORM

The early 2000s was an era full of good and bad fashion trends. They say that 

“what goes around, comes around”

and in the same way, we have been saying many fashion trends revive, and now in 2022, we are seeing many early 2000s trends making a comeback for better or for the worst. We see many trends reminiscent of the early 2000s with a modern twist.

1. LOW RISE JEANS
The most well-remembered trend of the early 2000s was the infamous low-rise jeans. In recent years high waisted jeans have dominated the market but in 2022 we are seeing the low-rise jeans make a comeback in a more modern style. These jeans are still low-waisted but they are mostly not skinny jeans instead they are wide-legged jeans. These jeans paired with the right type of crop tops are a perfect summer look.

2. BABY TEE’S
Crop tops have been in trend for quite a while now so it is no surprise that baby tee’s from the early 2000s are back with a bang. Baby tees are cute and trendy as well as not too far away from what we have been wearing for the past few years. Additionally, baby tees pair well with low-rise jeans making the perfect early 2000s outfit with a modern twist.

3. DOUBLE DENIM
Double denim is the hottest summer 2022 trend straight from the early 2000s but with a modern twist. We have been seeing denim on denim everywhere from the runways to the streets and we are loving it. A good denim on denim look, may it be a denim jumpsuit or a denim jacket and jeans combo is put together but trendy. This look, when done right, is great for all your events and casual day-outs.

4. TRANSLUCENT CLOTHING
We have been seeing sheer clothing for a while now but this summer it will be the most relevant it has been. Sheer clothing especially in the form of shirts is having its moment. Especially patterned and colourful sheer shirts or dresses are going to be the perfect trendy look for all your going out needs.

5. BUTTERFLY HAIR CLIPS
Butterfly clips are a staple of childhood but now they are back in all their colourful glory. Butterfly clips are perfect to keep the hair out of your face but also to create cute hairstyles. You can get these clips in any colour but remember, you will slowly lose them and find them everywhere in your house.

6. TUBE TOPS
Tube tops are another staple of the early 2000s trends but now they have come back with a modern twist. More than tube tops, their silhouette is in trend. So basically strapless tops that can be long or short depending on your style are perfect for this summer.
