Eid ul Fitr At the Maritim Hotel, Berlin
The Pakistani Embassy organised a grand cultural extravaganza and reception on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr at the Maritim Hotel, Berlin. The event comprised of a fashion exhibition, a concert by Mr. Farhan Saeed, and a painting exhibition. The Speaker of the National Assembly, HE Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, was the chief guest. The participants, more than six hundred in attendance, included parliamentarians, diplomats, senior officials, prominent businesspersons, fashion designers, artists, academicians, university students, the Pakistani diaspora and a large number of German and Pakistani media.
The main attraction, of course, of the mega cultural event was the showcasing of the haute couture heritage of Pakistan. Top designers, including Hasan Sheheryar Yasin, Fahad Hussayn, and Maheen Khan (Gulabo), participated in the showcase. Super models Mehreen Syed, Fozia Aman, Alyzeh Gabol, Hira Shah, Rachel & Zille Huma starred in the event alongside Urwa Hocane and Mawra Hocane - who were the show stoppers.
