1. Wash your face twice a day and exfoliate

Wash your face twice a day even though you’re not wearing makeup. Once in the morning when you wake up and once at night to prepare your skin for bed. Make sure to exfoliate your face once a week to remove dead skin and rejuvenate healthy skin underneath.



2. Get eight hours of a good night’s sleep

You may be binge-watching shows and movies like there’s no tomorrow, but don’t get carried away! It’s really important to have those essential eight-hours of uninterrupted sleep! That’s when the body releases the human growth hormone, a necessary ingredient for collagen production; as well as protein that gives people shiny hair, strong nails and glowing skin. Sleep plays an important role in building your immunity. Without sufficient sleep, your body makes fewer cytokines, a type of protein that targets infection and inflammation, effectively creating an immune response. Get adequate sleep.



3. Watch what you eat

Boredom can lead to overeating -- one eats simply for the sake of eating!  However, avoid the carbs and eat fresh fruits and greens that give you sufficient proteins and vitamins. A diet rich in vitamin C and low in fats and sugar promotes radiant skin. Cut down on sugar and spicy food. What you eat impacts your skin more than what you put on your face.



4. Drink lots of water

Water intake is key and since the weather has been really pleasant, one tends to not get thirsty. Hydrate yourself. Drink lots of water daily, at least eight glasses, if not more. Also, eat fruit and vegetables that have high water content such as cucumbers, oranges and strawberries.

5. Workout

Set a time to do a basic workout at home. Many celebrities around the globe are sharing their at-home workout routines on a daily basis which you can easily follow. Running, jogging and yoga will give your body the necessary blood circulation, and also accelerate the cleansing process of your entire body.
