Star of ‘Willy Wonka’, Gene Wilder Dies at age 83

American actor Gene Wilder, remembered and loved by all for his lead role in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, died at the age of 83 on Monday in Stamford, Connecticut, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease, as his family reported.

The comic actor also starred in classic films such as The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein.
