Rishi Sunak is a British politician who has served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 25 October 2022 and Leader of the Conservative Party since 24 October 2022. Sunak was born on 12 May 1980 to parents of Indian descent who migrated to Britain from East Africa in the 1960s. He was educated at Winchester College, studied philosophy, politics and economics (PPE) at Lincoln College, Oxford, and earned an MBA from Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar. While at Stanford, he met his future wife Akshata Murty, the daughter of Indian billionaire N. R. Narayana Murthy, a founder of the Indian multi-national IT company Infosys, and Sudha Murty. She holds a 0.93% stake in Infosys, making her one of the wealthiest women in the UK, along with shares in several other businesses in the UK. Sunak and his wife are the 222nd richest people in Britain, with a combined fortune of £730 million as of 2022. 
After Truss's resignation amid another government crisis, Sunak was elected unopposed as Leader of the Conservative Party. He was appointed Prime Minister on 25 October 2022, becoming the first British Indian and the first Hindu to hold that position. 
Akshata Narayan Murty, wife of Rishi Sunak is a British-based Indian businesswoman, fashion designer and venture capitalist. She is also a director of Digme Fitness and digital transformation company Soroco which her brother Rohan Murty co-founded.

Married in 2009, they have two beautiful daughters.
