Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' Turned Into A Play In Lahore

Bollywood enthusiasts who were unable to watch the Amir Khan-starrer Dangal in Pakistan on the silver screen have been watching their own version of the Bollywood superhit in Lahore;  Dangal, the stage play, and truly enjoying it.

According to The Express Tribune, theatre specialist, Naseem Vicky plays Aamir's role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, doing justice to his character. Similar to the film, Naseem is seen training his daughters to become Olympic-standard wrestling champs.

Dangal also marks the first time producers have included three different kinds of sets for one play. However, what is interesting to note here is that a wrestling ring has also been constructed to show the wrestling match scenes.

Furthermore, Naseem has penned the script of Dangal himself. Other actors in the play include Sobia Khan playing his wife and dancers Sidra Noor, Mahak Noor, Nisha Bhatti and Nigar Chaudhry as the four daughters. Other renowned names from Lahore’s theatre, include Sakhawat Naz, Tahir Anjum and Qaiser Piya.
