Ayesha Malik Opens Up On Why She Asked Priyanka Chopra Those Questions
A 27-year-old Pakistani-American woman made headlines after she confronted Bollywood- actress Priyanka Chopra-Jonas who was giving a speech at Beautycon last month.

During her speech Priyanka had said ‘we should love our neighbours’ on which triggered Ayesha Malik to question the actress over a tweet back in February in which Priyanka allegedly encouraged armed conflict between India and Pakistan. As Chopra was taking questions at the event, Malik approached the microphone, which was then snatched away from her, and called the Bollywood star out for ‘encouraging nuclear war against Pakistan’ while serving as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. In a first, Priyanka was left speechless and to many her response was rude which then turned into online humour with memes being made for the next few days.

'So it was kind of hard hearing you talk about humanity, because as your neighbour, a Pakistani, I know you're a bit of a hypocrite. You are a UNICEF ambassador for peace and you're encouraging nuclear war against Pakistan. There's no winner in this,' said Malik.

Chopra defended herself against the criticism, stating that while war is not something she is 'fond of' she is 'patriotic'.

'Whenever you're done venting ... got it, done? Okay, cool. I'm sorry if I hurt sentiments to people who do love me and have loved me, but I think that all of us have a sort of middle ground that we all have to walk, just like you probably do as well,' Chopra said.
