ASIM ABBASI - FILMMAKER

Asim Abbasi is a man with many faces: film director, producer and screen-writer. This year alone he has given us something amazing to watch and contemplate over; his web series 'Churails'. The film-maker has been praised for his recent venture, 'Churails', as the web series revolves around the lives of four women. The 'Cake' director feels it is important to build a culture without toxic masculinity, and says men play a very important role in creating that culture. His latest project, challenges the hypocrisy of patriarchal societies vanquishing women and their rights. And that’s an attempt from his side to set the female narrative right. It makes one wonder exactly what we will see from this multi-faceted man in the future.
