Hoorain Lyka Ali | Talent Beyond Her Years
How and when did your journey into modelling and acting begin?
Once, my aunt visited us and was in awe of how cute I looked. I was 3 years old then. She suggested that I should work on TV and clicked a few pictures, which she forwarded to production houses in her contact. From there, I got a few offers for commercials at the beginning. Then, I made my debut on Mera Humsafar when I was 4 years old.
What inspired you to pursue work in front of the camera at such a young age?
My grandmother, Naeema Garaj, is a veteran actress, so I was always inspired by her to act.
Secondly, I loved the Turkish drama Ertugrul Ghazi and its character Halime. I would dress up as her and act in front of the mirror for hours.
Which project has been the most memorable for you so far, and why?
I loved working on my most recent project, which will be released on a major platform. I can't reveal much yet, but I got to work with many big stars and had the opportunity to travel abroad, which will always be memorable.
How do you balance your studies with your professional commitments?
Studies are my first priority, so I always have my shoots scheduled after my school timings. I also make sure to carry my books to shoots so I can read and study in my spare time.
Who has been your biggest supporter throughout your journey?
Of course, my mom.
Is there a particular actor or model you admire?
Yes, I love and admire Saba Qamar and Sanam Saeed. They are both my favourites.
What are your future goals in the entertainment industry?
I do not have a particular goal at such a young age, as I’m still exploring. But I would love to work as a director someday.
How would you describe your personality in three words?
Adventurous, creative, curious.
What does confidence mean to you?
To me, confidence means having fun and not being scared to try something new.
What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I can crochet very well and make super cute jewellery.
