Half An Hour With Ramsha Khan: That Pretty Girl On TV
Acting surely must be your passion! How long has it been for you in this industry?
Acting is definitely my passion. I’ve been in the industry for over a year now and I love it.

What was your first project?
My first project was a film, and ever since then I’ve been doing dramas.

Which TV serial role has been your favourite to date? Tell us something about the character?
My favourite character has Beensheefa from Mahe- Tamam. The character’s journey is aspirational — she starts out as a young, zestful, dewy-eyed
teenage girl but then responsibilities and a challenging life shape her into this strong and relentless women. Yet she remains smart but empathetic.

You’ve also done some fun modellng shoots. What do you enjoy more acting or modelling?
Modelling is different – it’s great for your portfolio since you get to look pretty and it’s fun working with photographers and artists. I love acting and I’ll always be more inclined towards it, but I want to experience everything that this industry has to offer.

It is challenging to be an actor in the Pakistani media industry? Given the tremendous competition.
I really haven’t faced any challenges in the industry yet, because I never try to be competitive. Acting for me is a way of personally growing and learning from those around me including the artists and my fellow actors. I believe in selfimprovement and don’t bother with the idea of “competition”. The only one I am in a competition with is myself.

What are your future plans? Do you see yourself taking up any roles in Pakistani movies?
Honestly I’m not much of a planner, I like to live in the moment and seize opportunities as they come. I want to get more chances with dramas.

So what makes you Ramsha Khan stand out from rest?
I don’t think I standout, I’m just like everyone else. But you won’t see me in public, I’m a complete introvert, stay in my own little space and have friends outside from the media. I, nevertheless, seek inspiration from my fellow actors and their expertise!

Name one Bollywood / Hollywood actor that you wish you could work with?
Leonardo DiCaprio — I have learnt and am still learning t from this legend. His acting is absolutely unreal. It’s my dream to work with him. He’s my inspiration!

If you weren’t an actress, you would be?
I would either be a game developer or a psychiatrist. I love games and my favourite subject is psychology! I’ve always had a nerd streak in me!

One quote that you live by?
Love the life you live and live the life you love! It means so much to me, and it’s taught me a lot in life. I plan to always go by it.
