‘DADU KA GHAR’ BY EMRAAN RAJPUT: AN EID UL AZHA COLLECTION THAT EVOKES SOPHISTICATION
Menswear virtuoso Emraan Rajput’s latest Eid ul Azha collection, ‘Dadu Ka Ghar’ is an amalgamation of all the things that we look for when it comes in relation to the festive season. From the wholesome feelings to the treasured memories that accommodate the season, if any designer can rise to the occasion and aim to capture all of what we look for in a collection, it is clearly Emraan Rajput. A designer with a philosophy of making timeless pieces that fit the occasion perfectly.
The collection features the esteemed R.M Naeem who recently was awarded the President’s Award for his services both nationally and internationally in visual art and the education that he has given. Alongside Suleman Hussain and his son Burak Suleman, the collection comes in full circle with the trio showcasing their affection and adoration for one another in the most wholesome way. ‘Dadu ka Ghar’s visuals and art direction take us on a melodious journey that shows three generations being knighted with memories and lessons that come with a meeting of three different generations.
The video of the collection (shot by the talented Asad Khan Films) evokes a sentimental feeling that many can relate to. We see shots of R.M Naeem and Suleman embracing as father and son. Through the course of the profound video, we are then introduced to the adorable Burak Suleman, whose ear-to-ear smile captures the awes of the audience. Emraan’s vision of implementing heirlooms such as chess boards and radios add the authenticity and charm that we all can relate to.
Shot by the talented Hamza Bandee, the three generations are shot perfectly as they wear a wide variety of ‘Dadu Ka Ghar’s soft tuned ‘kameez’ ‘shalwaars’ and waistcoats. What we find so calming about the collection is the solid tones that Emraan selected, from deep blue all the way down to an olive green. Each look proves to be befitting of the festive season that is upon us all.
All in all, ‘Dadu Ka Ghar’ has our vote!
