We as Pakistanis love celebrating Independence Day for many reasons. The happiness, pride, love and support we all have for our beloved homeland in endless.
This 74thIndependence Day Maria.B. celebrates the promise of childhood and the hope it brings. Their latest campaign, dedicated to children-the future of our country, is to revive the memory of celebrating 14th August by decorating your homes and streets. #YeJahanRangDeChalo
The campaign features little, patriotic children in a song Ye Jahan Rang De Chalo. The song was brilliantly composed and produced by Abbas Ali Khan and was beautifully sung by the 8-year-old child prodigy, Hadiya Hashmi who made her debut in Nescafé Basement by singing ‘Bol Hu’.

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than by planting trees for a green Pakistan! Maria B. along with her team planted native trees around the Ring Road Lahore partnering with PHA. Last year they planted 2000 trees & this year they've pledged 5000 trees and also a miyawaki forest!
‘We planted native species only, including jamun, keekar, amrood, falsa, sohanjana and kachnaar. Native species such as these provide shade and fruit, a shelter for many birds and insect species, benefitting the entire ecological balance’, Maria. B. and Fatima. B. both led the drive.
When we were young we used to show our love and excitement on Independence Day by decorating our homes and streets with our loved ones. This Independence Day Maria.B. want us to go down memory lane this14th August by paying tribute to our heroes by decorating our homes, streets and nation just like we used to back in the days.
Maria.B. invites kids to show their creativity, their true taste of patriotism and love by taking part in the Independence Day contest showcasing their 14th August decorations. To take part all you need to do is:
1. Take a picture/video of your decorated area with your kid.
2. Send your picture/video via Direct Message on our Maria.B. Kids Instagram account.
3. 10 lucky winners will be announced and their decorations will be shared on Maria.B. Kids social media account.
4. Winners will get an Independence Day Gift Box which will include a Book featuring Pakistani heroes, Colouring book, Color Box, Tote Bag and Pakistan’s Badge.
5. Last date to send entries: 14th August, 2020.
Criteria to participate: 04- 14yrs of children.
