Yasmin Zaman: A Design Studio That Stands Tall in The Heart Of Karachi
With winter weddings just around the corner, designers seem to be working at full throttle to bring forth bridal wear that sets the tone for the winter season. Yasmin Zaman's eponymous label has within the span of a few years established a niche clientele and is well reputed for her craft and taste. She takes pride in traditional handcrafts and embroideries that are fit for modern brides who want their outfits to stand out, while retaining an aura of inheritance and tradition.

The designer has recently opened an outlet in the heart of Karachi, (Khadda Market) that serves as her current studio where brides can walk in and consult her and that stocks a line of prêt wear ready for pick up. The idea behind her own space is that along with it being her comfort zone, it is also a place where she can give time and attention to every young bride who visits.

Zaman's love for art and textile design dates back to her earlier days as an art student only followed by a her career as an art teacher at the prestigious Karachi Grammar School. After numerous exhibitions, Yasmin participated in the 2013 Pantene Bridal Couture Week for which she was appreciated by audiences and the media alike.

Her eye for classic and contemporary yet detailed silhouettes under an affordable price tag is what makes her stand out from the rest. Zaman also believes in designing bridals keeping the bride's requirements as the upmost priority.

Zaman takes inspiration from her travels, her lines reflect rich culture, heritage and boast intricate handwork with detailed motifs and embellishments.

While her bridals are traditional and multi dimensional her pret wear is soft, feminine and bears a modern appeal for young girls and women alike.

She is also available for orders on couture and luxury prêt via appointment at her new studio.
