Sharmeen Obaid's Documentary, 'A Girl in the River' nominated at 76th Peabody Awards
The documentary is about the story of a young survivor of an honour killing attempt. The film has been nominated alongside a wide range of documentaries including Netflix's Audrie & Dais, BBC News Online's investigative Islamic State’s Most Wanted and more. The winning documentary is will be announced on April 18th.
Other Pakistani productions that have made it to the Peabody Awards includes Burka Avenger in 2014.
