The Hindu Community In Pakistan Decorated The National Assembly Hall With A 40 Feet Large National Flag
Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) has gifted a unique 40-feet-high and 60-feet-wide national flag to the National Assembly (NA). The flag has been made using white and green balloons. As many as 60,000 deflated balloons have been used to develop the flag while more than three dozen staff of assembly secretariat took part in its preparation.
PHC chairman and member of the National Assembly , Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani is confident that the effort of around three dozen volunteers belonging to the Hindu community would make it to the Guinness Book of World Records. He said the flag was a gift to the nation from Pakistan Hindu Council on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, while reporting the media outside the Parliament House.
Installed on one side of the main entrance, the 40-feet flag covers the whole area from floor to ceiling of the assembly hall. It is said that this is the first time in the history of any country that such a huge flag was prepared in the National Assembly.
Students from different educational institutions across Pakistan are invited to visit the Parliament House on Independence day, August 14.
