HELLO! I FEEL LIKE A WEIGHT LOSER FOR GAINING SO MUCH WEIGHT AFTER GETTING MARRIED. WHAT DO I DO?

Do anything but shame yourself for having gained weight! And congratulations… At long last you have been united in wedlock. This marks the beginning of a passionate, picturesque chapter in your life filled with melodies of merriment and songs of serenity, so don’t sob over some inches you may have put on here and there. Nevertheless, here are five tips, if you wish for a healthy body after tying the knot!

MAKE YOUR MOTIVE CLEAR: LOSE WEIGHT TO FEEL GOOD, NOT JUST LOOK GOOD!

Every lady desires to be slim and smart just so that they can smoothly slide into those pair of jeans they bought years ago or that formal dress which feels like it has shrunk in size. And nobody is to blame them. Looking good indeed makes you feel good about yourself. However, putting such incentives on the pedestal will constantly waver your level of motivation. Once that shirt fits, your goal ends. That is where we as a collective individuals are wrong. One should keep their health and fitness in check to thwart other serious conditions such as obesity, diabetes and blood pressure etc.

PLAN A WORKOUT SCHEDULE WITH YOUR PARTNER

Workout routines often turn mundane and dull when it’s just you and the odour of your sweat. But when the love of your life joins you in this morose cycle, everything seems much easier. In fact you’ll find yourself looking forward to it especially when you think of it as a fun couple activity rather than a self-imposed obligation. Persistence and continuity in exercises aids greatly in weight loss. The word exercise sounds like too much work, doesn’t it? Don’t worry, for it does not necessarily need to be proper, time-consuming exercises. It can be simple doing household chores or keeping an eye on the maid whilst roaming around the house or running up and down the stairs. Sounds too good to be true, right? But it works like wonders, and if that seems too little, then try going for a leisurely morning walk for the sake of admiring nature and its beauty.

ADD HEALTHY, BUT LOW-CALORIE FOODS IN YOUR DIET PLAN

As much as it aches your heart, consuming fried foods, energy drinks, snack bars and too much sweets on a regular basis is a big red flag for your physical health. When dining out, make sure your plate is filled with more greens and perhaps, go a bit easy on the heavy burgers and fries. Try to instill more fruits and vegetables, and low-fat meat and dairy products in your diet and let the result do its magic. That being said, you can always mark a cheat day on your calendar with your partner and enjoy every once in a while!

Post-Shaadi workouts and activities have proven to be really enjoyable, provided that you have the right motivation and the right partner!
