It's safe to say that the 2022 Oscars were a wild night filled with shining stars, stunning looks, and moments that left us flabbergasted. So here are our Top Five epic Oscar moments.

1) BILLIE EILISH BECAME THE FIRST GEN-Z OSCAR WINNER.
Last night Billie Eilish won the Oscar for best song with her song ‘No time to die’ this was a historical event as Billie Eilish is now the first singer born in the 21st century to have bagged an Oscar. She has created her career from the bottom up at a very young age. Now it seems like she is making moves with her music and personality. We can’t wait to see what Billie has for the future.

 

2) ARIANA DEBOSE WINS BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS.
Here's another woman who made history at last night's Oscar. Ariana Debose is the first openly Queer Latina who has won an 0scar. She Became the first in this category and the second Latina to ever win an Oscar. She turned heads on the red carpet in her red pantsuit and brought everyone watching to tears with her inspiring and relatable acceptance speech. 

 

3) RIZ AHMED BECOMES THE FIRST MUSLIM ACTOR TO RECEIVE AN OSCARS.
Wow! we just love representation, and Riz Ahmed not only made oscar history but also represented all Muslims and Pakistanis. He won for his critically acclaimed role in the film ‘sound of metal: He not only dazzled everyone when he fixed his wife's hair on the red carpet. He also made everyone listen in awe as he dedicated his acceptance speech to all the people who feel like they don't belong.

 

4) THE FIRST NORMAL RED CARPET SINCE THE PANDEMIC HIT.
Did we forget that this dazzling red carpet is the first normal one we have had since the pandemic hit? This not only gave us some amazing red carpet looks but brought us back to the usual interactions we are used to. From Zendaya's shiny silver look which took us back to 1998. To Kristen Stewarts' Chanel suit and even Justina Chastain Gucci looks, Yes! more than one glamourous look.

 

5) 'CODA' WINS OSCAR FOR BEST PICTURE EVEN WHEN COMPETING AGAINST BIG PRODUCTIONS.
'CODA' is a short coming-of-age film that showcased the story of a deaf family who has a daughter that can hear. It has themes of dependence, harsh reality, and a person's individuality crashing with their family. The film not only had a heartwarming storyline but had amazing performances by many deaf actors who played lead roles. This drama is a great and deserved example of inclusivity and reality showcased on the big screen.
