Debbie Reynolds Dies One Day After Daughter Carrie Fisher Passes Away
Hollywood's biggest stars in the 1950s and 1960s passed away on Wednesday, one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher passed away, Reynold's son Todd Fisher said.
84-year-old Reynolds was taken to Los Angeles hospital Wednesday afternoon as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Todd Fisher in conversation with CNN said, "My mother passed away a short time ago. She spoke to me this morning and said she missed Carrie."
Reynolds who was born Mary Frances Reynolds had a long career in entertainment. Her career traces back to when she was a mere 16-year-old. She starred in one of Hollywood's best known musicals Singin in The Rain and The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
She was married then famously divorced from singing sensation Eddie Fisher, who left Reynolds for Elizabeth Taylor in 1959.
Though, she moved away from film for most of her career, Reynolds continued to entertain on Broadway stages and in Las Vegas nightclubs. She featured on many television shows including one of her own called The Debbie Reynolds Show that just lasted one season.
