"Hollywood Will Take Over Bollywood” - Shah Rukh Khan In An Interview With Brad Pitt
With no hullabaloo about his arrival and any such publicity around it, Pitt's India visit was a well-kept secret.
He spent his afternoon posing for a photoshoot at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, before he made his way to get ready for the event. Though this is his second visit to country, Pitt returned this time with a newly acquired single status after his split from Angelina Jolie.
Shah Rukh Khan said,
“Language is becoming less and less of a barrier. There are more digital platforms and easy accessibility to content from all around the world. Hollywood has done more and we need to learn from it and adapt.”
“There are films like Spider Man and Fast and the Furious which did as well as any other action Hindi film. Language is no longer a barrier as Western films are getting dubbed too,” he said. “The Indian industry has to change.”
Look to Hollywood for inspiration for film-making, and the roles of character doesn't mean letting go of the singing and dancing, “We have wonderful stories to tell but we aren’t telling them. We need to understand the language that Hollywood or western cinema speaks, and not change what we are presenting. Singing and dancing has to stay.”
Though Brad has umpteen respect for Bollywood films, he claims he would never be able to do justice to them for he cannot sing or dance, he said, “Indian cinema has its own film language, its own stars and a place of its own.”
