How would you describe your personal style?

I am obsessed with all things monochrome and geometric and am a minimalist by nature. Anything over the top is not my cup of tea.

All work and no play this summer!

Zara!

Sunglasses! If I could help it they wouldn’t come off of my face, day or night!

What are summer must-haves for any girl’s wardrobe?

You can never go wrong with summer whites! It doesn’t matter how you like to wear it as long as it’s white and you’re comfortable. You should definitely have some white in your wardrobe!

7. What are the top five things on your wish list for this season?

Alberta Ferretti gladiators, Gucci lamè pleated metallic silk blend midi skirt, everything from Balmain’s Resort 2017 collection, Chloe’s Fall 2016 collection and an all-black pant suit from Victoria Beckham’s AW16 collection.

Ella Hussain

GAT4

Having graduated in History and Politics from Warwick, Ella returned to Pakistan hunting for a job that would allow her to work for the intellectual empowerment of Pakistanis at large and women specifically. Fate led her to advertising and with every ad- story she wrote she fell more in love with the power of storytelling as a tool for behavioral change.

She’s presently in a loving marriage with her role as creative director/producer at Slingshot Films and is pregnant with a women’s program that’s the antichrist to morning shows. She describes herself as a proud Muslim woman fighting for the light.

How would you describe your personal style?

Halal chic. I’ve quite recently and very gladly, turned a corner where I now hold the opinion that there’s nothing more beautiful than a woman who realises her own beauty enough to treat it with dignity.

What is your go-to source for style inspiration?

Mary-Kate Olsen related Pinterest boards.

What are your get-away plans for the summer?

This summer I’m jonesing to trek the land gathering stories of Sheroes (Maya Angelou’s term for heroic women) for the women’s program I’m working on. If anyone knows a Shero PLEASE share details at ella@slingshotpk.com.

If you could bring any international store to Pakistan, which would it be?

Kinokuniya.

What is your absolute favourite accessory to wear?

My mother’s engagement ring, not going to lie! Give it to me already mumma...

What are summer must-haves for any girl’s wardrobe?

Clothes that flow and breathe please. Nobody looks good in tight fabric fighting a war against sweat (sorry for being so graphic).

What are the top five things on your wish list for this season?

Koel’s entire collection of loose fabric, Peshawari chappals from the Rahim Khan outlet at Gizri, khussas that don’t bite, ready-to-drink ORS (business idea alert!) and Josie Maran sunscreen.

Amafah Mubasher

GAT5

After completing her bachelors in design, Amafah jumped straight into the world of advertising, only to realise it wasn’t for her. It was then that Amafah found yoga and fell in love with everything it did for her mind and body; the only logical step was for her to pursue her training and embrace yoga and fitness as a career. The decision wasn’t easy but she had plenty of support from her family and fiancé and she couldn’t be happier with the path she chose.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would say my style is laid back, with comfort being my main objective when I put an outfit together.

What is your go-to source for style inspiration?

Instagram

What are your get-away plans for the summer?

A road-trip to Northern Pakistan with my girlfriends.

If you could bring any international store to Pakistan, which would it be?

Lululemon

What is your absolute favourite accessory to wear?

A red lip.

What are summer must-haves for any girl’s wardrobe?

Cotton kurtas, long maxi dresses, anything to stay cool in this weather!
