Happy Bhaag Jayegi - Music Album Review
Music director Sohail Sen seems to be building a signature sound of his own and the songs in Happy Bhaag Jayegi reflect that clearly. Judging from the promos, the present film looks to be set in Punjab and Lahore and taking a cue from that, the album has a predominantly Punjabi flavor infused with some Sufi elements.

The beginning of the album is marked by Harshdeep Kaur’s robust vocals in the song Happy Oye. Written by Mudassar Aziz, the composition is pure bhangra pop. While the male vocals provided by Shahid Mallya, add to the song.

Mika sings the hook line Gabru Ready to Mingle with inherent panache and then Tarranum Malik, Neeti Mohan and Danish Sabri take this bhangra rap number forward. The party song’s lyrics are written by Mudassar and Dee MC, who worked on the English rap portions.

Aashiq Tera is the standout track of the album. Sung by Altamash Faridi, the song is infused with qawali. Moving on to a track called Zara si Dosti, it is a typical Arijit Singh song. It's got everything going for it but you constantly get that been there done that feeling while listening to it. That's the pitfall the singer now has to avoid.

Yaaram, sung by Javed Ali is an old school offering by Sohail Sen. Indian percussion, flute, and guitar work provide a soothing melody while Javed's smooth voice does the rest.

All-in-all, it's a hugely satisfying album and has whipped up our appetite. We can't wait for the film to release. The film is brought to you by Distribution Club across Pakistan on 19th August 2016.
