Simple And Easy Non-Conventional Treats For Eid Guests
Eid is almost here and with such less time and so many guests showing up, it becomes very difficult to cook and sit with them, both at the same time. That's why we are here to help you make some easy treats for your guests that don't take a lot of time or effort and are so delicious too! 

Here are the recipes.

Aloo ke Kebab:

Ingredients:

  • 8 boiled potatoes

  • 2 chopped onion

  • 2 chopped green chillies

  • Cilantro and Coriander

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tbsp Red chilli powder

  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp cumin

  • 1 beaten egg

  • Breadcrumbs


Directions:

Mash the potatoes and add all the other ingredients to it except for the egg and breadcrumbs. Shape them as desired, dip into the egg and breadcrumbs. Fry them 20 minutes before serving. (Makes 12-5 depending on size)

Paratha:

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • Flour: 1 cup , heaped

  • Oil: 1 – 2 table spoon

  • Salt: As per taste

  • Warm water: As needed


Filling:

  • Chicken mince 250 grams

  • Onion 1 finely chopped

  • Tomato 1 finely chopped

  • Green Chilli 2 chopped

  • Coriander Leaves 3 tblsp chopped

  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp

  • Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp

  • Oil 3 tsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp

  • Red Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp

  • Chat Masala Powder 2 tbsp


Directions:

Mix all ingredients to make a soft smooth dough ready to be rolled into parathas.

Take 1 table spoon oil in a griddle and cook onions. Add mince and all other spices. Cook well until water dries. Place filling on one paratha, and cover with another paratha. Seal edges carefully so that no mixture comes out while cooking. Heat a skillet and drizzle some oil. Fry paratha on both sides and serve hot.

Lychee Mocktail:

Ingredients:

  • Crushed ice

  • 1/2 glass Lychee juice

  • 1/2 glass Sprite

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • Mint leaves


Directions:

Put all the ingredients in a glass in the order above and enjoy!

Molten Lava Cake:

Ingredients:

  • Unsweetened baking cocoa

  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate

  • 125 grams butter

  • 3 whole eggs

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour


Directions:

Heat oven to 450°F. Grease bottoms and sides of six ramekins and dust with cocoa. In 2-quart saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Cool slightly. In a large bowl, beat whole eggs and egg yolks until well blended. Beat in powdered sugar. Beat in melted chocolate mixture and flour. Divide batter evenly among ramekins. Place them on oven proof tray with sides. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until sides are set and centers are still soft (tops will be puffed and cracked). Let stand 3 minutes. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar and serve warm.

Fruit Trifle:

Ingredients:

  • 1 plain cake

  • 1 tin Fruit cocktail

  • 2 1/2 cups custard pudding (ready-made)

  • Jelly, set and cubed


Directions:

In a deep dish, place the cake. Drizzle some of the juice from the fruit cocktail can over the cake to keep it nice and moist. Next, add a layer of the custard and top that with pieces of cubed jelly. Chill until ready to serve!
