'Dear Maya' Starring VJ Madiha Imam Releases Today And Here is What To Expect
The movie, titled, Dear Maya stars Madiha and Manisha in titular roles. Playing the role of a 16-year-old Madiha has managed to grab the spotlight in a mere two minute trailer. The trailer also shows an aged Manisha in quest of finding true love.
Madiha plays the character of Anna who is a sweet, innocent, lively and curious young girl desperate to find out the story behind a woman who lives in her neighbourhood and hasn't left her house in about 20 years.
The film is a Bake My Cake films production. It has been produced by Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhna Yadav and penned and directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar. Music is composed by Anupam Roy.
In conversation with H! Pakistan Madiha shares her experience working for the much-awaited film,
"It was amazing! Of course, it was hectic because of the back and forth travelling, but I spent a total of 50 days working there and the experience was incredible to be honest. A very professional team and the feature film is very different from what I have done before - dramas!"
"It's a film about friendship, about love, about family, about life... It's a film about everything," continues Madiha. "It has a little bit of everything in it. It also features Sahil Shroff, a model/actor who works in India and Los Angeles."
According to Madiha, "I am hoping for a good response from here and across the border; we are targeting as many cinemas as we can. We weren't expecting the overwhelming response that we have received so far and I love it. I am really happy about having done this movie and excited for it to come out. The trailer is doing extremely well and the movie is slated to release on 2nd June 2017."
