At 47, Humera Kamran decided to take a leap that changed her life. A wife and mother of two boys, she turned her love for beauty and precision into a thriving career as a brow artist in 2022. What started as a passion project has now grown into a profession that connects her with women from all walks of life — helping them look and feel their best.

We sat down with Humera to talk about her journey, what drives her, and the lessons she’s learned along the way.

You started your career as a brow artist in 2022. What made you take that leap, and how did you know this was the right path for you?
I’ve always been fascinated by how small details can completely transform someone’s confidence, and brows are one of the most defining features of the face. In 2022, I felt it was the right time to follow my passion for beauty and artistry. It was a leap of faith, but I knew that creating something that helps women feel more confident in their own skin was the right path for me.

What do you love most about being a brow artist?
The instant boost of confidence I see in my clients. A well-shaped brow can frame the entire face, and witnessing that transformation — both physically and emotionally — is the most rewarding part of my work.

Brows are such a defining feature. What’s your philosophy when it comes to shaping them?
My philosophy is to enhance, not overpower. Every face is unique, and I believe brows should complement natural beauty rather than follow a “one-size-fits-all” trend. It’s all about balance, harmony, and creating brows that bring out the best features in each client.

What has been the most rewarding part of working with women from different walks of life?
I love hearing their stories. Every client brings a different background, perspective, and journey. It’s incredibly rewarding to create a space where women not only leave with beautiful brows but also with a renewed sense of self-confidence and connection.

Every career has its challenges. What hurdles did you face in the beginning, and how did you overcome them?
In the beginning, self-doubt was a huge challenge. Starting something new always comes with fears of “what if I fail?” But I leaned into continuous learning, practiced relentlessly, and built my confidence one client at a time. Support from my family also played a big role in keeping me grounded.

How do you balance your professional life with being a wife and mother of two boys?
It’s definitely a juggle, but I’ve learned that balance isn’t about perfection — it’s about prioritizing what matters most in each moment. When I’m with my clients, I give them my full attention. When I’m with my family, I put my phone down and stay present. Creating boundaries and sticking to routines helps me give my best to both worlds.

What advice would you give to women who want to start something new later in life?
It’s never too late to reinvent yourself. Don’t let fear or age stop you from chasing what lights you up. Take that first step, no matter how small, and trust that you’ll figure things out along the way.

Looking ahead, what are your goals and dreams for your work in the coming years?
I want to continue refining my craft, expand my services, and eventually mentor other women who want to enter this industry. My dream is to build a community around beauty and empowerment — a space where women uplift each other and grow together.

What’s one lesson you’ve learned since starting this journey that you wish you knew earlier?
That progress is more important than perfection. In the beginning, I wanted everything to be flawless, but I’ve learned that mistakes are part of growth. Each challenge has shaped me into a better artist and a stronger businesswoman.

How do you keep yourself updated with the latest trends and techniques in the beauty world?
I invest in continuous education — from workshops and masterclasses to following industry leaders online. The beauty industry evolves quickly, and staying curious and open to learning is key. I also listen to my clients, because their needs and feedback often guide me toward what’s most relevant.

In her own words, Humera believes that beauty is not about perfection but confidence — and she’s made it her mission to help women see themselves through that lens. Her journey is proof that passion has no age limit and that it’s never too late to start something new.
