Her husband, Ali, took over the finance and the children with the same devotion he brings to fatherhood, giving her the freedom to live fully. “They’re the trifecta,” she says. “Everything I am building is because they stand beside me.”

● One beauty trend you secretly wish would disappear forever?
The idea that everyone has to look the same to be beautiful, clone culture needs to end. This constant chase for perfection; beauty is meant to evolve, not conform.
● What’s the one misconception people have about makeup artists that you love proving wrong?
That makeup artists are only about surface-level beauty, when in reality, most of us are educated, opinionated, and deeply layered individuals, have diverse interests, and bring real intellect and perspective to every space we occupy.
● What’s a quote or mantra that gets you through your busiest shoot days?
“Alhumdulillah, grace under pressure always. And I remind myself it’s a privilege to do what I love.”
● Morning person or night owl?
Morning person.
● The one book or podcast you’d recommend to any aspiring entrepreneur?
As an aspiring entrepreneur, it is a must to read “Atomic Habits” by James Clear and “The 4-Hour Workweek” by Timothy Ferriss, and the podcast I would recommend would be “How I Built This” by Guy Raz.
● Luxury you’ll never give up?
My real luxury? Self-respect, self-validation, and unshakeable boundaries.
● Favourite way to switch off / relax when you’re “off-duty”?
Cuddling and kissing my babies. We blast music on full volume and dance. Nothing helps me disconnect from the external and reconnect with my internal world the way music does.
● If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing instead?
Something creative: interiors, cooking, marketing, communication design, anything that connects me to people… anything that lets me build beauty and expression in a different way. And the truth is, I’m only just getting started. By the time we do another cover with HELLO!, InshaAllah, I know I’ll have many more stories to tell and even more reasons to celebrate.
